Engelbert Mephu Nguifo is a professor of computer science at Blaise Pascal University (UBP, Clermont-Ferrand) and currently vice-president of the mathematics and computer science department. At UBP, he is leading research on complex data mining in the joined University-CNRS laboratory LIMOS (Laboratory of Computer Science, Modelisation and Optimization). His research interests include formal concept analysis, data mining, machine learning, pattern recognition, bioinformatics, big data, information visualization, and knowledge representation. Mephu Nguifo has a PhD in computer science from the University of Montpellier. He is a member of the ACM and ACM-SIGKDD and French AI, bioinformatics, data mining, and classification associations (AFIA, SFBI, EGC).
